Stock Exchange and Market Analysis
Technical Analysis (24)
LibreOffice (Ref.1) and OpenOffice (Ref.2) are the same family. Both of which are free office application software , different from Microsoft's MS Office is required to pay Only legally usable . Today we will try to use LibreOffice (OpenOffice is almost the same ) as the explanation blueprint , for everyone to draw the candlestick diagram commonly used in the stock market ( Figure 1 ).
Figure.1 Candlestick chart
Usually the basic candlestick chart contains the trading volume of the market ( or individual stocks ) and the four price levels ( opening price , highest price , lowest price , closing price ). Therefore, we must first obtain the historical data of the analysis object ( refer to Ref.3). ). Make it the following spreadsheet:
Figure.2 historical stock prices _ Makalot (1477)
Note that Google Finance, Yahoo Finance historical data or giant Hang network provided , which is usually the order of the transaction date, the opening price , highest price , lowest price , closing price , followed by is the volume . However, in LibreOffice or OpenOffice in , it provides K line chart bar graph format if you want to cover the volume, then the volume should be placed on the field before the opening price field ( shown in figure 2). then we're ready to insert a chart , the action is as follows : (The cursor moves to the main function table above the spreadsheet )
Insert (I) → Object (O) → Chart (A)
After that, you will enter the chart wizard screen and start the selection of the first stage chart type ( Figure 3 ):
Figure 3 chart type
Click the chart type Figure III of the ' stock ' , the right side of the screen will show four kinds of stock charts , graphs elves are based on five groups of columns ( volume , opening price , highest price , most low price and closing price ) made The chart is for analysis , and the ' Stock Chart 4 ' will further merge the pattern of ' Stock Chart 2 ' with the bar graph of the volume into a common K- line chart. Since the trading volume is a quantitative unit, the auxiliary Y- axis must be introduced as the price axis in the ' Stock Chart 4 ' and displayed on the left and right sides with the trading volume axis as the Y- axis. Then we click on the rightmost volume containing K line graph ' stock chart four' , the picture shown in Figure 4 :
Figure four stock chart
Then press ' Continue (N) >>', the screen enters the second stage - the data range is set ( Figure 5 ):
Figure 5 data range 1
Since we want to display the first column (the date of the transaction , the number of shares traded , the opening price , the highest price , the lowest price and the closing price ) and the first column (the date of the transaction , such as 2014-**-**) as the X and Y axis the tags . Therefore, in addition to the range data transactions for the various types of stock price information , but also needs to include a first column and the first column as the label value for display . Therefore, to fill a to column F column in all data . format written as follows :
$ history stock price . $A$1:$F$69 ( format : specify worksheet . starting cell : end cell )
Or directly click on the top right of Figure 5 [ Select Data Range ] to minimize the dialog box, then drag from A1 to F= at the top left of the cell area to select the desired data range. Next, click on the screen in Figure V ' data column shows the sequence ' , and to check the first row and first column as labels ( shown in figure 6).
Figure 6 data range 2
Click ' Continue (N) >>' after , will enter the third stage - the information laid sequence ( Figure seven ):
Figure 7 data sequence
The data sequence currently has two sequences of the number of shares traded and the closing price . The data range of the number of shares sold includes four colors : border color , fill color , name and Y value , and the data range of the closing price is in addition to the name. , although less fill color and the border color sub-two , but covers the start value , end value , the maximum and minimum in order to draw representative of red, green and Down candle FIG . because of this , it Before moving the volume field to the opening price field , let the volume become a sequence of data . At present, the default values of the data range of these two data sequences are in line with our requirements , so just click on ' Continue (N) >> ' enters the fourth stage - of chart elements laid ( FIG 8) to :
Figure 8chart elements
At this point, the five boxes on the screen are still blank . We enter 'K line graph ', ' date ' and ' stock price ' in the title , X- axis and Y- axis respectively so that it can be clearly seen on the candlestick chart. Indicate that the rightmost legend option is clicked on ' Up (T)', ( as shown in Figure 8 ), and finally press ' Finish (F)' to proceed to the screen shown in Figure 9 :

Since the format of the X- axis and Y- axis has not been optimized , the next step is to modify the settings . First , the date order of the X- axis should be reversed and modified to the usual representation from left to right , as follows :
Format (O) → Axis (X) → X Axis ...
Alternatively, you can move the cursor directly below the horizontal axis ( horizontal axis and the middle of the date label ). At this time , the word 'X- axis ' will appear near the cursor , and then double-click the right mouse button to achieve the same function . Finally The display is as follows :
Figure 10 (a)
Next, in the top left ' reverse direction ' on the check option , press the ' OK ' can be obtained as shown below ten (b) the screen , this time has been changed to the date display from front to rear , and the stock price and volume information is also Will be synchronized with the X axis to shift the display .
Figure 10 (b)
Since the left and right sides of the longitudinal axis (Y -axis and the secondary Y axis ) values begin display range as a reference volume (500,000 to 3,500,000), of course, does not apply to the maximum does not exceed 200 is membered stock display , and therefore the data series must be ' closed price ' assigned to the secondary Y axis , practices are as follows :
Click on the top ten (b) upper left red box → data sequence "closing price" → → cursor to the top main menu → format (O) → format selection (B) → click on the option page in Figure 11. ' Second Y- axis (E)' → OK ( Figure 12 )

Next, take K Candle rod in the diagram to a conventional red and green colors , practices are as follows :
Click on the figure 10 (b) in the upper left corner of the red box → the data sequence "closing price" → the cursor moves to the green circle in Figure 12 , the word ' stock loss ' will appear → right click twice → show figure 13 → click on ' borders ' pages ' kind of show ' options → click ' no ' ( to remove black box ) → click ' area chart ' pages ' color ' option → click on ' green ' ( is green squares ) → Press ' OK ' → Show Figure 14

Click the same way according to Figure 10 (b) upper left corner of a red box → data sequence "closing price" twelve red circle at the → cursor to the map , the screen will appear ' stock returns ' words → Right Double tap Figure 13 → → display click ' border ' page ' comp illustrating ' option → tap ' no ' ( removing the black frame ) → tap ' area in FIG. ' page ' color ' option → tap ' red 2 '( present red square ) → press ' OK ' → show figure 15

At this time, candlestick chart in FIG 15 substantially complete , the next do trimming FIG . Let volume histogram down one o'clock , the size of the range is constricted to the stock 135 to 165 between , practice is as follows :
Y axis :
Format (O) → axis (X) → the Y -axis ... → showing Fig 16 → Cancel minimum (M) and maximum (X) of the ' automatic ' option ( no tick ), is set to the minimum value 0, the maximum value is 10000000 → press ' OK '
Auxiliary Y axis :
Format (O) → axis (X) → secondary Y axis (E) → showing sixteen → Cancel minimum (M) and maximum (X) of the ' automatic ' option ( no tick ), is set to the minimum value 135, maximum Value is 165 → press ' OK '

Finally, as can be obtained FIG foremost one of the candlestick in FIG . Final drawing of samples from to obtain the link , to provide to the reader to download the reference , if further genetic educated error correction . Thank you !
In addition , the author for all types of stock analysis indicators ( moving average , RSI, BIAS, Stochastic KD line, William indicators , MACD, CDP and Bollinger bands, etc. ) produced a series of EXCEL spreadsheet for reference use , and further production candlestick charts and other technical indicators on the same chart , interested readers can refer to Ref.4.
